Licence requirements when hiring a truck

Your Drivers licence must be presented on the day of hire, prior to commencement of hire.

• 2 - 3 Ton Truck - current full Class 1  (Standard Car)
• 4 - 7 Ton Truck - current full Class 2  (Medium Rigid)
• 10 Ton Truck - current full Class 4 (Heavy Rigid)

Insurance Requirements

Our Standard insurance excess is $2000.00 + GST and may be reduced to $1000.00 + GST by way of payment of an optional insurance waiver.

This option is not available for our mini buses and Class 4 vehicles and only applies to fully licenced drivers 25 years of age or older.

The insurance excess is payable if there is any damage to the hire vehicle or third party.

Special Circumstances

Drivers falling into any of these categories will need to pay the excess amount upfront as a bond - fully refunded upon return of undamaged vehicle.

* We will only hire to under 21's if you are driving on behalf of a company or under the supervision of a parent/guardian or driving instructor.

Bond Requirements

Minimum bond amount is $500.00 or a signed credit card imprint. This would be for a one day hire with the optional insurance waiver taken and with the driver being 25 years + with a full licence.

For anything more than a one day hire this may vary. Please call for details.

We accept Visa, Master Card, Diners and Amex.

Please note that Debit Cards are not Credit Cards, and will not be accepted as such.
